Modern Slavery Statement

Earthlets  – Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

1. Introduction
Earthlets is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We recognise our responsibility to help prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.

This statement outlines the steps we take to understand and minimise the risk of modern slavery in our operations, in line with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

2. Our Business
Earthlets is a UK-based eCommerce retailer specialising in toys, collectibles, trading cards, and related products. We do not manufacture products ourselves and instead source goods from established brands, distributors, and suppliers.

3. Our Supply Chains
Our supply chain primarily consists of:

  • UK-based wholesalers and distributors

  • Established global brands and licensors

  • Suppliers of packaged consumer goods

As a reseller, we have limited direct oversight of manufacturing processes. However, we recognise that risks may exist further upstream in the supply chain.

4. Our Commitment
We are committed to:

  • Conducting business in a fair, lawful, and responsible manner

  • Operating a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking

  • Not knowingly engaging with suppliers involved in modern slavery or human trafficking

  • Taking reasonable steps to work with reputable suppliers who share our values

5. Due Diligence & Supplier Expectations
While our position in the supply chain limits direct control, we take the following steps where possible:

  • Only sourcing products from official distributors and authorised wholesalers

  • Prioritising reputable and established suppliers and brands

  • Avoiding sourcing from unknown or unverified suppliers where risk is higher

  • Expecting suppliers to comply with applicable laws, including those relating to labour and human rights

  • Supporting recognised ethical standards such as the ETI Base Code and expecting suppliers to operate in line with applicable ethical practices

  • Where appropriate, seeking confirmation that suppliers have relevant policies or standards in place

6. Risk Assessment
Given the nature of our business:

  • Direct operational risk within Earthlets is considered low

  • Potential risks may exist within manufacturing tiers of global supply chains

We remain aware of these risks and aim to mitigate them through responsible sourcing practices.

7. Awareness & Responsibility
As a small business, formal training programmes are limited. However:

  • Key team members are aware of modern slavery risks

  • Any concerns relating to suppliers or ethical practices are reviewed by management and acted upon where appropriate

  • We remain informed on best practices and regulatory expectations

8. Ongoing Improvement
We are committed to improving our approach over time, including:

  • Strengthening supplier selection processes

  • Increasing transparency where possible

  • Reviewing this policy annually

9. Approval
This statement has been approved by the leadership of Earthlets and will be reviewed annually.
